Who we are
Talea (“we”, “us”) provides digital receipt hardware and services in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we handle and why. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@trytalea.com.
Information we collect
- Contact details — such as your email address, when you join the waitlist, place a pre-order, or get in touch.
- Order information — the products you order and their status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Receipt data — when a customer taps to save a receipt, we process the receipt content in order to deliver it to them.
- Technical data — basic, largely anonymous information (such as device type and coarse usage) needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
We use your information to fulfil orders, deliver and support the service, keep it secure, meet our legal obligations, and — only where you'd expect it — to reply to you. We do not sell your personal data.
Sharing
We share data only with the providers that help us run Talea — for example Stripe for payments and our hosting and email providers — and only as far as they need it to perform their service. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Retention & your rights
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as the law requires. Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “last updated” date.
